ALESSANDRA F. BORZACCHINI exclusively designs for Ornaments.
Her pieces are often one-off or a small limited series of self-produced designs. Her style is eclectic, mixing up artisian craft, art and industrial design. She often uses materials found off the street as well as industrial components that she adapts for different functions, always following the ready-made phylosophy. The result is unpredictable and unique. Copper heating pipes become table legs. Italian coffeepots transform into the columns of a side table. Copper or aluminium spout chains become cascading ornamental curtains which lightly chime with every movement.
Architect and artist/designer WALTER VALLINI's works have been presented in nomerous exhibitions and published by major magazines and publishing houses.
He practices design and art not as two separate practices, but as a single, self-sustaining activity. You could say that his works - tables, lamps, etc . -
are items of furniture of a quality that you could easily call SCULPTURES or , on the reverse, Vallini's sculptures are "functional", or "funtion-able" as tables or lamps.
Living in Turin, Vallini divides his time between Rome and Berlin.
